℗©Monopoli/The Learning Station (Activity: Have the children pretend they are swimming, using the backstroke etc. as prompted by the song.)
Lyrics:
I went for a walk and the walk was cool. I saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left. These are the things that they did best.
They backstroked, they backstroked, they backstroked until they…
VERSE 2 went for a walk and the walk was cool, saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left. But these are the things that they did best.
They doggie paddled, they doggie paddled, they doggie paddled until they….
went for a walk and the walk was cool, saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left. But these are the things that they did best.
They breast stroked, they breast stroked, they breast stroked until they….
went for a walk and the walk was cool. Saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left. These are the things that they did best.
They snorkeled, they breast snorkeled, they snorkeled until they….
went for a walk and the walk was cool. Saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left. These are the things that they did best.
They dove, they dove, they dove until they….went for a walk and the walk was cool. Saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left. These are the things that they did best. They towel dried, they towel dried, they towel dried until they….
went for a walk and the walk was cool. Nobody left in the swimming pool.
They walked to the right, they walked to the left.
But these are things that they did best.
They walked, they walked, they walked until they..
went home of course. Bye!
