Make Learning FUN with Nursery Rhymes!
The song, “Ten on the Bed” is a popular nursery rhyme that makes learning fun. Children will learn early math (subtraction) and number recognition to 10. With repetition being the key, children easily pick up the pattern to the song. Enjoy our delightfully animated video that brings this nursery rhyme to life.
Enhancing the Activity:
You can enhance this activity by having the children participate with simple fingerplay actions.
There were ten on the bed (Hold up ten fingers)
And the little one said, “Roll over, roll over.” (Make a rolling motion with your arms)
So they all rolled over and one fell out. (Lower one finger towards the ground)
(Repeat with 9-1)
At the end have the children pretend to go to sleep.
