Action! Fun! Dance! for Kids from The Learning Station is a fun and energetic CD for your students! Our students loved the music and werent afraid to move with it. We found it particularly helpful when trying to transition students from one book activity to another. The short, three minute songs were just the right length for the students to get up and move then refocus on academic activities.
Moving to the music of Action! Fun! Dance! for Kids helps students to reset themselves and their brain. The movements within the songs were simple and few so it was easy for all of the students to follow along. As we use it more and more we notice the kids are excited about getting their work done in a timely manner because they know we will be dancing for a few minutes before we start a new activity.

Veteran childrens entertainers The Learning Station (Don Monopoli, Laurie Monopoli, and Jan Hrkach) return with another round of 14 rousing songs that get listeners up and moving. Whether theyre singing about Herman the Worm, Icky Sticky Bubblegum, or Doctor Knickerbocker, kids will enjoy following the action prompts in these upbeat tunes. Also included are adaptations of the welcoming Western Africa song Funga Alafia; the salsa-based Rumba Dance; the Jamaican Dance; and Shabooya, a dance call song that features the swim, the bunny hop, and the monkey. The Learning Station is joined on many of the numbers by the USA Kid Singers, and results are terrific. The accompanying booklet contains the lyrics and action instructions for the songs. Since each number runs about three minutes, these would be great for story times, during movement breaks in the classroom, or at home when kids need to release some energy. A fantastic addition to every collection.

Action! Fun! Dance! music your kids will love!! My daughter loves to sing and dance. She will make up her own song if she has to. The other day I heard her singing in her room. I couldnt make out the words, but I could mostdefiantlytell she was singing. I want to encourage her to keep doing that for as long as she will enjoy it. Thats when I discoveredTheLearning Station. Its the go to place for kids music.
My daughters top two favorite songs areIcky Sticky Bubble GumandFunky Nursery Rhymes. She loves dancing along to both of these songs. She willpretendto stick the gum all over herself (and sometimes her sister). The one thing thats great about this CD is its not just plain old music. Its music that makes you want to get up and move!! Its contagious. I cant listen to it and not move! So get up and move!!

WE HAVE LOST CONTROL!!! What a Phenomenal Musical Experience your new “Action! Fun! Dance!”CD has brought into my classroom. My students refuse to quit singing and dancing.
I hear “A-root-chy-cha, a root-chy-cha” in the restrooms, “Whoa, Aint that funky now!” in the cafeteria and they even wantto boogaloo in the halls. Last night I was working in concessions at our BB game and I had two of my students ask me to come out and sing “A-Ram-Sam-Sam! with an older sister. Needless to say we had people in the stands grinning at us in our little corner. Move over Loopty Loo, we have a new favorite CD!
